We recently received a call from a client who wanted to buy a condo in Newport Beach. Her only stipulation that there needed to be a guard attendant beyond the gated entrance. In Newport Beach there a lot of 24 hour guard gated communities but they almost all tend to be for residential single family homes. By far, the very best place to start you search is the Sea Island community in Newport Beach. This comes with a 24 hour guard gate attendant with homes that can offer golf course, city light and back bay views. There are two different neighborhoods in Sea Island so there tends to be a good selection of condos on the market at any given time. The location is also great since it's near the intersection of Jamboree and Pacific Coast Highway. It's just minutes to Fashion Island and to the water.
Another great option are the condos located in the Harbor Ridge gated community. Similar to Sea Island there is a 24 hour guard attendant and from prior experience they are very tough and don't let anyone that doesn't have prior authorization. The neighborhood itself is predominately filled with single family homes but there is a section of residential condos in this community. It's widely considered one of the best gated neighborhoods for those looking for a view property. Look for condos in the Harbor Ridge Crest and Harbor Ridge Estates neighborhoods.
