We often get requests from home buyers looking for gated community homes in the Newport Beach area for detached single family homes under $1,000,000.  One of the first places we recommend is the Newport Canyon community.  The Newport Canyon neighborhood is located near the 73 freeway and University/Jamboree exits and situated next to the Bonita Creek Park in Newport Beach, California.  The neighborhood is quite nice with large two story detached homes that are built in the Spanish style.  A nice community pool and spa can be found in the center of the community with homes located on the perimeter surrounding the association pool area.  In the past several years many homes have come up under the $1,000,000 price point so bargain shoppers should look here
