The Harbor Point community is located near the Fashion Island shopping center in Newport Beach, California.  This is a small gated community of 20 luxury estate homes that feature well over 3,200 square feet of living space.  The neighborhood is ideally located just off Macarthur Blvd and San Miguel Dr and is an easy walk to the Corona Del Mar shopping district filled with resturants, small boutique stores and just blocks to the beach.  Homes in this area can have very nice ocean and Catalina Island views and are typically located on large lots.

The Granville Newport Beach community is a great place to find golf course views condos in the center of Newport Beach, California.  Located next to the Newport Beach Country Club golf course with distant views of the Pacific Ocean the guard gated community of Granville is extremely private with no neighboring communities.  The homes are located on a single loaded street that ends on a small cul-de-sac location.  All the condos sit next to the golf course with various golf and ocean views.

The Harbor Ridge Crest neighborhood is a small pocket of homes located next to the San Joaquin Reservoir in the Harbor Ridge area of Newport Beach.  Harbor Ridge is a guard gated neighborhood that is well regarded as one of the most exclusive gated communities in the central part of Newport Beach.  Many of the Crest homes have reservoir views which is often referred to as a "lake-like" formation.  Over the last four months the water level has dropped significantly and has lost almost half of what is used to store.  If you look at the photo below of the Reservoir that original water line early this year was right up to the white mark.

The Big Canyon area is filled with many residential neighborhoods for both single family homes and condos.  Some of the more expensive homes in Big Canyon sit directly on the golf course and offer luxury golf course view living in the heart of the city.  The Big Canyon golf course is located in the middle of the city near the Fashion Island shopping center.   This is a guard gated community that has very large homes located on huge over-size lots.  The majority of the homes are built in the Traditional and French architectural styles and have a very European flare to them.

Newport Beach is one of the most desirable places to live in Orange County and savvy real estate investors and home buyers who enjoy remolding a home are always on the lookout for a quality fixer upper home.  Fixer upper homes come in various degrees from an easy cosmetic change to the more challenging remodels.  Currently, there are 9 properties in the Newport Beach area that are considered fixer-upper homes and range in price from $459,900 to $3,449,500.  For the most part, many of these homes do not have any kind of a view of the ocean. Corsica Villa Townhomes are ideally located off the 73 freeway in Newport Beach, California.  These are residential townhomes located in the Eastbluff area of Newport Beach and built in the Spanish architectural style.  This is a quiet area that was originally built in 1984 with condos located on two levels of living space.  All of the units located here are two bedroom one bath units with the main entertainment spaces located on the lower level and bedrooms situated upstairs.

The Bayridge Newport Beach community is located in the heart of Newport Beach and features luxury condo living.  The condos are either located on the lower level with a private patio area or situated upstairs with a large outdoor deck.  Originally built starting in 1984, the complex offers a variety between two and three bedroom units.  Condo sales in the last two years have remained very strong with closed transactions ranging from $460,000 to $700,000.  These are smaller square footage units ranging from 1,016 to 1,782 square feet but still offer well thought out floor plans.

Harbor View is the quintessential neighborhood in Newport Beach with classic Bungalow style two story homes located in the heart of central Newport Beach.  The homes seem to almost be taken out of a movie set and have some of the best curb appeal for homes you will find in Newport Beach.  For the most part, homes in the Harbor View area will not have much of an ocean view due to it's flat topography.   For those homes set high enough on the ridge views of the ocean can be seen.  If you are looking to buy in this neighborhood expect to find homes priced at least $1.7 million and up.  The larger cottage style homes are much more expensive and often range in the mid $2 million to low $3 million range.
