Newport Crest is a popular condo building in the northern section of Newport Beach and is well known for it's panoramic ocean and Catalina Island views that can be seen from this location as pictured below.  Newport Crest was built in the 1970's and at the time was the premier ocean view condo building.  One of the biggest draws besides the great views is the close proximity to Hoag hospital that employee's many who live in the surrounding Newport Beach area.  One of the newest additions to this area is the new Sunset Ridge park area that can be seen below.  This is a huge open space for children and adults to enjoy the great outdoors which also overlooks the ocean.

Newport Beach is an urban city with luxury waterfront properties and hi-rise condo buildings.  In the outside perimeter of the city is an area called Santa Ana Heights that is well known for being an equestrian zoned community.  The area features large scale homes that often are located next to the Newport Beach Back Bay area with wonderful views of the bay.  These lots are very large and often feature over one to two acres of land.  Not all homes in this area will be zoned for equestrian use so it's important to check with the local city planning department for exact qualifications of any property.

The Harbor Cove gated community in Newport Beach features two communities located adjacent to each other and known as Harbor Cove Palisades and Harbor Cove Promenade. The location is really ideal and within short proximity to the world class Fashion Island shopping center as well as Balboa Island. The Harbor Cove homes were built by Standard Pacific and offer very nice two story Spanish style homes that were built just under 20 years ago. The Harbor Point community is located near the Fashion Island shopping center in Newport Beach, California.  This is a small gated community of 20 luxury estate homes that feature well over 3,200 square feet of living space.  The neighborhood is ideally located just off Macarthur Blvd and San Miguel Dr and is an easy walk to the Corona Del Mar shopping district filled with resturants, small boutique stores and just blocks to the beach.  Homes in this area can have very nice ocean and Catalina Island views and are typically located on large lots.

The Harbor Woods condo complex is located in the heart of the Fashion Island shopping district and just minutes to the beach.  This is a great location situated across the street from the new construction community called "Summer House" and down the street from Rogers nursery.  The two story townhouses were built in 1984 and offer a variety of floor plans that all offer two bedroom units.  These are some of the lowest price townhouses in Newport Beach that are located on the ocean side of the 73 freeway and in the Fashion Island area.  The buildings are two stories high with street level parking.

The Harbor Ridge Crest neighborhood is a small pocket of homes located next to the San Joaquin Reservoir in the Harbor Ridge area of Newport Beach.  Harbor Ridge is a guard gated neighborhood that is well regarded as one of the most exclusive gated communities in the central part of Newport Beach.  Many of the Crest homes have reservoir views which is often referred to as a "lake-like" formation.  Over the last four months the water level has dropped significantly and has lost almost half of what is used to store.  If you look at the photo below of the Reservoir that original water line early this year was right up to the white mark.
